Job Purpose:
To manage stock room operations and supply chain activities, ensuring accurate inventory control, safe storage and handling of commodities, compliance with programme standards, and timely logistical support for effective programme implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for stock room inventory management, and supply chain activities in accordance with BNP and WFP operational procedures.
- Maintain accurate stock records, stock registers, stack cards, and other inventory documentation, ensuring timely updates and reconciliation of physical and recorded stock.
- Ensure proper receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of SNF in compliance with BNP protocols, quality standards, and stock room management procedures.
- Organize and maintain the stock room to ensure orderly storage, proper stacking, adequate ventilation, and safe handling of commodities in accordance with occupational health and safety requirements.
- Monitor storage conditions, including cleanliness, temperature control, air conditioning functionality, and the operation of temperature monitoring equipment to preserve product quality.
- Ensure adherence to stock rotation principles, including First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) and Best-Before-Date management practices.
- Manage the collection, counting, recording, storage, and disposal of empty cartons and sachets in accordance with approved programme procedures and reporting requirements.
- Conduct routine stock counts and support physical inventory verification exercises, ensuring accuracy and accountability of programme commodities.
- Ensure compliance with BNP, WFP, and organizational policies, procedures, and standards related to logistics, stock room, safeguarding, and occupational health and safety.
- Support facility-level operational and administrative activities as required to ensure uninterrupted programme implementation.
- Maintain effective coordination and communication with Centre Coordinators, programme staff, and supply chain teams regarding stock status, logistics needs, and operational issues.
- Perform any other programme-related duties assigned by the Centre Coordinator or Supervisor.
Education
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution.
Experience
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in warehouse, inventory, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably with an NGO/INGO or development organization.
- Experience in managing nutrition commodities, food assistance programmes, or WFP-funded projects will be an added advantage.
- Experience in stock recording, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse operations is preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Sound knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, and supply chain procedures.
- Understanding of stock control principles, including First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) and inventory reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to maintain accurate stock records and prepare inventory reports.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- Commitment to accountability, safeguarding, and ethical standards, including Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH).
Languages
- Good command of written and spoken English and Urdu. Knowledge of local languages will be an added advantage.
